Supplier Policy

Supplier Policy

Our challenge is to find potential suppliers that will supply products and services that contribute to our commitment to quality and client satisfaction. The criteria and interaction protocols applied for suppliers are intended to ensure adequate levels of quality for the sourced component and proper management of the environmental issues pertinent to the supplier.

The objectives of Brembo corporate policy are:
- establish relationships with suppliers that offer the best capabilities in terms of innovation, time to market, cost, service and quality (objective "zero defect") to ensure maximum client satisfaction;

- concentrate purchases on a limited number of excellent suppliers;

- seek the lowest total cost of the materials supplied, not simply in terms of cost but also considering the cost of quality, of innovation and of the service, in relation to the performance requested for the sourced product;

- involve the supplier in its own Environmental Management System to reduce the environmental impact of all the production activities conducted outside its own industrial facilities;

- deal only with suppliers in possession of certification testifying that their Quality Systems are compliant with Automotive standards, issued by an accredited certification organisation;

- give priority to suppliers with certified Environmental Management Systems (ISO 14000 certification);

- and establish relationships between Brembo and its suppliers built increasingly on the integrity and discipline of both parties.

Moreover, in order to ensure global expansion and a constant growth of our business ensuring its sustainability over time, Brembo searches and develops global suppliers in support to the specific needs of different geographic areas. Brembo is a socially responsible company, ethically correct and working in a sustainable way. The same behavioural models on issues such as human rights, health and safety at work are required for their supply chain and are the basis for the choice and evaluation of suppliers.
