Giovanni Canavotto

Born in Brescia in 1951, after completing the secondary school (classical studies), he obtained a university degree in Electrotechnical Engineering in Padua and was admitted to the professional association.​

 

He is a member of the Bergamo Engineers Association. In 1978, he joined SACE Brown Boveri, a leading designer and manufacturer of low and medium-voltage circuit-breakers and switchboards, where he served in important roles instrumental for his professional development, in particular with regard to Quality (Quality Assurance and Total Quality) and Project Management. ​

 

He joined Brembo in 1985. As the Group’s Quality and Environment Director, he set up the company's Quality and Environment System, defining its system of procedures (Quality and Environment Manual) and led the company to obtain certification from all major customers and ISO.​

 

In 2000, he served in management and business development roles at the worldwide level at various units of the Group, including, in particular, the Commercial Vehicles Business Unit and Discs Division. ​

 

He has been Chief Operating Officer of the Car and Light Commercial Vehicles Braking Systems Division since 2014. ​

 

He became a member of the Board of Directors of Brembo in April 2017.​
