Brembo, the brakes germans love best

5/11/2017

Readers of the top four German car magazines were polled in four independent surveys and unanimously chose Brembo as the best braking system manufacturer.

Number one producer of braking systems for motorcycles, cars and racing. Brembo received this recognition as a result of reader surveys conducted by four German trade publications: Motorrad, Auto Motor und Sport, Motorsport aktuell and PS.

Winning first place in four different polls does not happen by coincidence, especially when we are talking about German motorsport aficionados, some of the most competent and exacting in the world.

What's more, Germany leads Europe in car sales (3,350,000 in 2016) and is second for motorcycle sales (175,000 bikes last year). The result is even more impressive because Brembo, color bearer of products Made in Italy, prevailed over German brands (or German-owned companies) with long-standing traditions.

In the Motorrad classification, the Brembo braking systems beat out TRW (second) and Magura (third), while in the Auto Motor und Sport ranking, it came in ahead of Bosch (second) and ATE (third).

These tributes award Brembo's incessant efforts to improve its braking systems, which have been tested for over 40 years in the world's most demanding competitions: Formula 1, MotoGP, World Superbike, the 24 Hours of Le Mans, and World Rally Championship.

Many of the systems have been transfered to series production to improve braking for people who use their cars and bikes on a daily basis.

Brembo's success in the survey conducted by Motorrad, the bible for two wheeler fans, wasn't surprising since it won first place in the last 11 editions.

This year, Brembo garnered a good 84.5% of the 49,461 votes submitted. Brembo has every intention of protecting this wide margin over the competition in years to come by continuing to respond to customer needs.

For eight years now, Brembo has been deemed the best by readers of Auto Motor und Sport, the German magazine known as the authority on motorsports and street cars.

This time Brembo captured 70.1% of the votes, outpacing the competition by 15 percentage points. Brembo also led the pack of rivals in the reader poll conducted by Motorsport aktuell, a magazine founded way back in 1963.

This was a dual victory:

among producers of car braking system tuning, the Company was named best by 80.4% of the voters and among motorcycle brake pad producers, Brembo secured 75.7% of the votes.

Last but not least is the Best Brand 2017 title Brembo earned in the brake pad category for the ninth year in a row from PS readers.

Enthusiasts may not share the same taste in motorsports, motorcycles and cars, but there is one thing they do agree on:
Brembo brakes are the best in the world.
