The ranking of the best cars by acceleration takes into consideration the time to go from 0 to 60 miles per hour.

The 10 best cars selected by Car&Driver are represented collectively by 23 different equipment packages that we placed in order based on acceleration performance. As you can see from the table, all 8 cars that have the best acceleration are equipped with Brembo brakes, as are 9 out of the top 10.

There could be a double explanation. On one hand, great performance requires great brakes and this leads to the manufacturers preferring Brembo brakes for their flagship models.

On the other hand, in order to have great acceleration, besides powerful engines, the cars also must be particularly light: in this area, Brembo braking systems provide a significant contribution, thanks to one of their most distinctive characteristics of being lightweight.
