Brembo, the world leader and acknowledged innovator of brake technology, unveiled caliper and disc developed for Side by Side Vehicle (SSV), at the EICMA 2023.
The new Brembo SSV caliper and disc are the first of its kind bespoke performance brake system for this market. Utilizing over 60 years of brake design and manufacturing of brake components for everything from Formula 1 cars to super cars, to brakes that have won the Baja 1000.
The SSV caliper greatly increases braking performance over the factory brake system providing driver confidence and easy maintenance. It is in aluminum, cast and it has been engineered using Brembo’s load optimization software assuring a stiff robust design for the extreme conditions of off-road driving.The Brembo designed 4-piston aluminum brake caliper, grips onto cross drilled steel brake discs and it is light weight, just 1.55 kg to provide excellent stopping power. The Brembo symbol is marked on the disc surface as a distinctive element.
The Brembo SSV caliper is engineered specifically for these applications considering all of the key measurements to produce the best possible braking solution.The aluminum fixed calipers together with Brembo’s stainless-steel disc and sintered pads provides a weight reduction compared to the original parts on all four corners while delivering quiet and confident brake pedal feel to the driver.
