Calipers

Design, comfort and performance

As a result of the exclusive technology used in their manufacture, Brembo aluminium calipers boast superlative performance in terms of braking power, control and comfort, as well as design without par in the motorcycle segment.

State of the art design and manufacturing processes make it possible to produce a light, compact and extremely stiff caliper body, whereas precisely engineered hydraulic components maximise the hallmark power and controllability of Brembo calipers.

The use of superior aluminium alloys and exclusive manufacturing processes, together with constant innovation in the design stage, make Brembo calipers extraordinarily stiff, ensuring incisive, immediate braking power and constant brake lever travel.

Brembo fixed calipers are available in both radial and axial mount configurations, whereas Brembo floating calipers are available as single or dual piston versions. For higher performance models, exclusive monobloc technology ensures maximum performance together with extremely low weight.

Brembo calipers are made from oxidised cast aluminium offered in different colour finishes (black, gold, aluminium and titanium), with an attractive design that contributes to giving the bike a distinctive, eye-catching look.

    Monoblock technology

M50 is the new Brembo monoblock caliper mounted for the first time in 2011 on the Ducati 1199 Panigale, where the letter M stands for monoblock, the technology successfully introduced in 1994 by Brembo in Moto GP which allows us to create the caliper body from a single piece of molten aluminium, thus ensuring optimal rigidity; while the number 50 refers to the number of years of activity of the company.

Some of the bikes models equipped with Brembo Calipers:

    Aprilia Dorsoduro 1200 ABS

    Having fun even when braking

For fun bikes such as the Aprilia Dorsoduro 1200 ABS, providing torque of 115 Nm, Brembo designed a braking system that emphasizes driver enjoyment without sacrificing reliability. To keep the bike in check, engineers turned to a Brembo radial 4-piston front caliper and a brake pump. The brake system is very powerful and modular control is complemented by a brake pump and floating caliper at the rear.

    Can-Am Spyder roadster

    Brake system triples up

Three wheels ensure more stability but the brake system must be specially calibrated to work at its best. After analysing the behaviour of the Can-Am Spyder roadster, Brembo identified the most effective solution as the double front 4-piston pillar caliper and two 270 mm discs. The parking brake, on the other hand, is integrated into the floating rear caliper. The system also include a Brembo brake pump and clutch pump.

    Chevrolet Camaro

    Italian brakes do it better

The Chevrolet Camaro Coupe is 90 kg lighter than the previous models with better aerodynamics and brakes.
The Brembo four-piston, two-piece aluminium calipers are designed specifically for weight savings and are among the stiffest available with virtually no distortion from high thermal and torque loads, even under the most demanding conditions. Brembo’s corrosion-resistant calipers in anodized aluminium offer reduced weight over traditional calipers.
On the Camaro LT, the available Brembo brakes include 12.6-inch (321x30mm) front rotors with four-piston aluminium calipers. Camaro SS employs 13.6-inch (345x30 mm) front rotors with four-piston aluminium calipers and 13.3-inch (339x26 mm) rear rotors with four-piston calipers.

    Ducati 1299 Panigale

    Superbike emotions even when braking

Borgo Panigale accepts no compromises: and with the Ducati 1299 Panigale, technical excellence is absolute. Yet bringing 205 HP and a torque of 145 Nm to a halt needs the best brakes available. Brembo supplies 4-piston radial mount evo calipers which ensure maximum rigidity and deformation strength during extreme braking. They work with 2 semi-floating 330 mm discs with radial brake pump. At the rear, on the other hand, there is a 245 mm disc with a Brembo 2-piston caliper. The S version also boasts Marchesini forged aluminium 3 spoke Y-shaped rims.

    Ducati Diavel Titanium

The Diavel’s extraordinary braking performance is ensured thanks to Brembo brakes with incredibly powerful pillar calipers, driven by alloy radial pumps with tanks boasting an exclusive sport design and covers machined from the solid. At the front, two floating 320 mm half-discs combine with dual radial four-piston calipers, while at the rear, the 265 mm disc is braked by a two-piston caliper - all built by Brembo.
The Diavel Titanium is also and exclusively equipped with superb Marchesini forged wheel rims in finely worked aluminium alloy.

    Ducati Monster M1200 S

Design and quality Made in Italy

When talking about an icon such as the Ducati Monster, nothing can be left to chance.  Including the brakes, in aesthetic and performance terms alike. For the M 1200 S - the most powerful Monster ever - Brembo opted for a brake system similar to that on the Panigale: pillar calipers with 330 mm discs, rear caliper with 245 mm disc and brake pump.

    Harley- Davidson CVO Street Glide

    Constant braking at all speeds

Reliability and control. High performance Brembo brakes with dual front discs deliver constant braking power at all speeds. Front and rear 4-piston calipers combined with the dual front disc complete this state-of-the-art, top of the range braking system. There is also a specific caliper insert. This is yet another example of the way in which attention to every detail means that Brembo can ensure your maximum peace of mind for every trip.

    Harley- Davidson Night Rod Special

Even better performance without sacrificing style

Better safety and control. High-performance Brembo double disc brakes provide ideal braking power for every situation. In addition, ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System) helps reduce the likelihood of wheel lock in the event of sudden braking. So, having cleverly stylized the speed sensor, the bike retains the purity of its good looks. More performance without sacrificing style. This is Brembo’s Mission.

    Honda CBR 1000 RR SP

    Braking always up to expectations

When dealing with a Sport Production, even the brake system must be calibrated to the same, very high level. To ensure that fortunate owners of the Honda CBR 1000 RR SP can rely on braking of equal calibre, Brembo has developed specific and extremely stiff 4-piston calipers. Cylinders vary from 30 to 32 mm to ensure effective braking and uniform brake pad wear.

    Kawasaki Ninja H2

    Turbo brakes

Braking a turbo-charged 310 HP engine seemed to be a very unlikely feat. But not for Brembo! We designed truly powerful, cutting-edge system for the Kawasaki Ninja H2 (as well as the Ninja H2R). Astonishing braking performance in very tight spaces is ensured by the seamless integration of the radial brake pump and the 4-piston pillar calipers and 330 mm discs.

The Brembo brake system is set off by a brake pump and clutch slave cylinder for quick starts and superb acceleration.

    KTM Duke 690 R

Braking is nothing without modular control

A single-cylinder 70 HP bike is not easy to keep at under firm control, especially since it weighs less than 150 kilos.
The extremely powerful Brembo brakes mounted on the Duke ensure extraordinary modular control. The front has a 4-piston fixed caliper with a radial mount and is driven by a radial brake pump. The outcome is a record-breaking modular braking control achieved not the least thanks to the rear brake pump and 240 mm Brembo rear disc.

    Moto Guzzi V7 ABS

Happy ever after since the 1970s

The Mandello del Lario bike-builder has always focused intensely on braking, so much so that even as early as 1973 the V750S had a Brembo double disc front brake and calipers. The Moto Guzzi V7 ABS not only maintains this tradition but even raises the bar thanks to the axial mount front caliper and front and rear brake pump all by Brembo. Clearly demonstrating that elegant design and dynamic braking stability can co-exist very well indeed.

    Suzuki GSX-R1000
