Mastering the Beast: Kawasaki arms the Ninja H2R with Brembo's advanced Stylema calipers, delivering superior cooling, weight savings, and hypersport-level performance.
Born from a collaboration across Kawasaki divisions, the Ninja H2R redefines the limits of performance with its supercharged engine, a technology that took the spotlight in the '80s but seemed destined for the archives.
Thanks to modifications to the compressor, the Ninja H2R now delivers an astonishing 310 HP, climbing to 326 HP with a pressurized airbox. This custom-designed compressor provides peak efficiency across a wide range of engine rpms and speeds.
Brembo brakes, essential in harnessing this raw power, add precision and control, while carbon fiber fairings and aerodynamic winglets complete this engineering masterpiece. The ultimate bike, built to dominate the road.
To tame such a beast, Kawasaki chose the best solution: a pair of 330 mm diameter and 5.5 mm thick semi-floating discs and Stylema calipers, both Brembo.
Compared to the already outstanding M50 caliper that equipped the previous Ninja H2R versions, the Stylema in aluminum with 4 opposing pistons (30 mm diameter each) saves some weight (- 7% at the same rigidity), better cooling (the brake fluid temperature is reduced by up to 10 percent) and consistent superior performance.
For the occasion, Brembo also developed a specific friction material for this and other Kawasakis in the Hypersport segment.
