Information on personal data processing

When you visit, consult or use services available on this website we can process the following data related to people identified or identifiable.

Name, Surname, e-mail address, Authentication credentials (in case of social media login Brembo will only receive confirmation of authentication from the social media provider) and Vehicle information (type, make, model).

Processing purpose

  1. Restricted Area: To allow users to create a Personal Account, access the contents of the restricted area, and use the services offered by the website
  2. Marketing: for sending newsletters and informative, generic or profiled communications from Brembo
  3. Profiling: to allow us to collect, analyse and organise data entered by users into homogeneous "clusters", to interact with the user in a profiled manner and to send profiled marketing communications 
     

Whether providing data is obligatory or not

  1. Name, surname, email and password are mandatory in order to create the Restricted Area; incomplete or non-disclosure of this data will result in the impossibility of creating the Personal Area
  2. Vehicle information is optional. Failure to enter this information will have no consequence on browsing or access to the restricted area (but will only result in the inability to show personalised content, in the event that the user has consented to Profiling and to receive any personalised communications

The personal data is mainly processed automatically. Specific security measures are applied to prevent the loss of data, illegal or incorrect use and unauthorised access.
 

Legal base of data processing

  1. Regarding the purpose of creating the Restricted Area, processing is necessary to execute the pre-contractual and contractual measures (Article 6 letter b) of the Regulation). 
  2. For Marketing purposes, the processing is based on the user's consent (Article 6 letter a) of the Regulation). 
  3. For Profiling purposes, processing is based on the user's consent (Article 6 letter a) of the Regulations). 
     

Recipient of data

Data is processed by authorised personnel of Brembo Group companies or authorised distributors, depending on the type of request, and by suppliers for the technical management of the website (e.g. data base) and for the provision of the hosting or Customer Data Platform service, as data processors acting on Brembo instructions. The complete, updated list of processors can be requested from the Controller at the above addresses.  

Data retention period

For the period strictly necessary to achieve the purposes for which it was collected, in particular: 
the Restricted Area is kept active until the user decides to delete his or her profile or after 5 years of inactivity or absence of access (subject to sending an e-mail informing the use of the impending account deletion);

For Marketing purposes, the data is retained until the related consent is revoked; 

For Profiling purposes and those of sending personalised communications based on vehicle information, data is retained for up to 5 years after the last update (e.g., new vehicle) or until consent is revoked, whichever is earlier. 
 

IP address and navigation data

Processing purpose

  • Navigation on the website. IT systems and programs used to operate the website collect some personal data transmitted implicitly when using internet communication protocols (e.g. IP addresses or domain names of the computers of users connecting to the website, addresses URI- Uniform Resource Identifier – method used to submit the request to the server, and other parameters related to the user’s operating system and computer environment).
  • Installation of technical/session cookies to improve website functionalities and analytical and profiling cookies as illustrated in the cookie management platform on the website.

Rights of the data subject

You may access your data at any time at no cost, receive your digital personal data in a structured, commonly used format readable mechanically and ask us to transmit it to another process controller (data portability) where applicable, and have it corrected, updated, modified or deleted (except for any exceptions applicable). We would like to inform you that requests to delete data are subordinate to legal and document preservation laws in force imposed by laws and regulations.

 
Where processing of your data is based on consent, you may revoke that consent at any time. You may at any time decide to no longer receive any informative communications. You may object to processing at any time, where applicable and foreseen in the Regulation. You may also update the data provided to Brembo and exercise the other rights sending your request to the Data Protection Officer at the email address privacy@brembo.com, or by post to Brembo N.V., Via Stezzano 87, Bergamo, FAO the Data Protection Officer.
