For the first time ever, carbon‑ceramic technology is available on a road‑homologated supersport motorcycle.

The Ducati Superleggera V4 Centenario is equipped with HYCTION, the world's first carbon-ceramic disc derived from Brembo's CCM-R technology.

The most exclusive debut possible.

When the goal is to create a new benchmark, choices that allow no compromises are required. For the Ducati Superleggera V4 Centenario, every detail has been pushed to the extreme, and even the braking system is tasked with redefining the limits of physics.

Not an adaptation. A conquest. Every component, from the caliper to the master cylinder, has been engineered around the HYCTION disc and the motorcycle. Absolute control, authentic feel, uncompromising performance.

A system built around HYCTION.

HYCTION is the core: carbon-ceramic by nature, racing by DNA. It ensures stable, progressive, and repeatable braking, even at the limits of performance.

Around it, every component has been developed to work as a single system: a dedicated caliper, components calibrated to respond as one unified system. The result is a sensation you know very well, that absolute confidence at the lever that changes the way you ride.

HYCTION front disc

It’s not an evolved disc. It’s a new category. Carbon-ceramic by nature, racing by DNA, it ensures stable, immediate, and repeatable braking even under the most extreme conditions. The lever feel remains consistent, lap after lap, without fading.

The disc adopts a MotoGP-derived system and an asymmetrical aluminum bell with a completely new geometry, designed to reduce weight and structural stress while improving dynamic stability.

With a diameter of 340 mm, a thickness of 8 mm, 132 ventilation holes, and a weight of only 1.375 kg, HYCTION reduces inertia and unsprung mass with precision you can feel at every corner entry. It is engineered to withstand the harshest track stresses and deliver top performance at extremely high‑temperatures. A patent-pending solution that sets a new benchmark for supersport motorcycles.

GP4-HY front caliper

The GP4‑HY is a monobloc radial front caliper machined from billet, specifically developed to work in harmony with the HYCTION disc. It incorporates "boosted" technology derived from racing, designed to generate greater braking force while maintaining control and precision.

The integrated fins optimise thermal management. The differentiated 30–34 mm pistons (100 mm centre-to-centre) with racing radial holes to isolate heat from the brake fluid ensure thermal stability under the most demanding conditions.

The patented anti-drag system reduces residual torque, delivering immediate release and a lever feel that remains consistent.

The dedicated pads complete the system, specifically designed to interact with the carbon-ceramic disc surface.

Öhlins Fork NPX 25/30 Carbon

The suspension package also sets new benchmarks. The pressurized Öhlins NPX 25/30 Carbon fork features carbon‑fiber outer tubes manufactured using unidirectional layers, a solution developed to achieve maximum weight savings compared to conventional production processes. Weight is reduced by 8% compared with the Panigale V4 R and by up to 10% compared with the standard Panigale V4, delivering tangible benefits in agility during direction changes and enhanced front‑end sensitivity.

The fork adopts a mechanical architecture to further minimize weight, while retaining the pressurized cartridge that limits cavitation, ensuring more consistent support under braking and during corner entry.

At the rear, the Öhlins TTX36 GP LW shock absorber uses a special steel spring for maximum lightness and features MotoGP‑derived valves, designed to improve compliance over small imperfections and allow hydraulic adjustments without the need for tools. The non‑adjustable suspension linkages are made of titanium to further reduce weight. A configuration that brings solutions directly derived from MotoGP into an exclusive riding experience.

MCS brake master cylinder

The MCS brake master cylinder completes the front system as a control and consistency element. The adjustment of the interaxis allows you to customize the ergonomics of the control, making every braking action more natural, more predictable, more yours.

In a system designed around HYCTION, the master cylinder is not a detail. It is the point of contact between intention and performance: calibrated to enhance the consistency of the carbon-ceramic disc and the response of the caliper, it maintains sensitivity and precision at every stage of braking.

Rear disc

Nothing is left to chance. Not even the rear system.

A floating steel disc with an aluminium bell (223 × 4.5 mm), derived from racing: lightweight, thermally efficient, designed to ensure precise and controlled rear braking in perfect harmony with the front system.

Nothing will ever be the same again.

Some motorcycles are ridden. Few made the hystory. The Ducati Superleggera V4 Centenario is among these, not just for what it is, but for what it heralds. With HYCTION, Brembo brings the world's first carbon-ceramic disc for motorcycles to the road. Not an evolution. Nothing will ever be the same again.
