More than 50 million discs per year

Brembo is a world leader in the development and production of brake discs. Brembo supplies makers of cars, commercial vehicles and trucks for both original equipment and original spare parts; it also produces and sells discs for the independent aftermarket.

Thanks to integration of production processes and the use of the best design and construction technologies, Brembo factories around the world have by now achieved annual production of close to 50 million discs/year.

To support its clients and their respective global expansion strategies, Brembo has production operations in Europe, USA, Mexico, Brazil and China, all implementing standardised, integrated processes, to optimise production and logistics costs.

Brembo can, therefore, offer its clients the combined advantages of a centralised product development process and localised production to maximise competitiveness and service quality for their global platforms.

Brembo's experience and expertise in the development of entire systems allow the group to engineer more effective brake discs and to continue to improve aspects such as comfort, performance, weight and cost.

Brembo's brake disc range encompasses the entire automobile market, with products ranging from carbon ceramic discs for the most exclusive cars and floating and co-cast discs for sports and premium models, to one-piece discs for medium sized and city cars.

The advantages of the new Brembo lightweight brake disc concept in a video

The new brake disc concept, conceived by Daimler with Brembo as its fundamental partner in developing the product, is a 10-15% lighter brake disc that combines two different materials: cast iron and steel. The most important advantage lies in the steel housing, which is just 2.5 mm thick instead of the 7.5-9 mm of a conventional cast iron housing, with the same level of performance. The results in terms of reducing fuel consumption and having less of an environmental impact are excellent.

Some of the cars models equipped with Brembo discs:

Abarth 695 Biposto

Aluminium calipers and oversized discs

The Abarth 695 two-seater took to the race track with a natural vocation for the road. For this reason, the fastest Abarth ever is fitted with a Brembo braking system with 4-piston aluminium calipers and oversized discs.

Cadillac CTS

Attention to detail, even when it comes to brakes

Some say this is the best car built by General Motors. This is confirmed by the Brembo designed braking system built to ensure maximum comfort: 4 x 42 mm diameter piston calipers combined with 321 mm front discs (345 mm for 18-inch wheel rims). Fixed Brembo aluminium calipers combine in this car with low environmental impact, great comfort and high performance.

Chevrolet Camaro

Italian brakes do it better

The Chevrolet Camaro Coupe is 90 kg lighter than the previous models with better aerodynamics and brakes.
The Brembo four-piston, two-piece aluminium calipers are designed specifically for weight savings and are among the stiffest available with virtually no distortion from high thermal and torque loads, even under the most demanding conditions. Brembo’s corrosion-resistant calipers in anodized aluminium offer reduced weight over traditional calipers.
On the Camaro LT, the available Brembo brakes include 12.6-inch (321x30mm) front rotors with four-piston aluminium calipers. Camaro SS employs 13.6-inch (345x30 mm) front rotors with four-piston aluminium calipers and 13.3-inch (339x26 mm) rear rotors with four-piston calipers.

Chevrolet SS

Muscles out, brakes in

The SS is the first four-door car with a V8 engine and rear-wheel drive built by Chevrolet in the last 20 years. Brembo has developed oversized brakes to match this 415 HP engine that are also very good looking. On the front, 40/44 mm diameter 4-piston calipers work in conjunction with 355 mm discs. At the rear, on the other hand, there are 28/32 mm diameter 4-piston calipers combined with large 365 mm discs.
The attentive design of the Brembo calipers, thanks to a co-design approach with this car-maker, integrates seamlessly with the overall aesthetics of the car.

Dodge Viper SRT

Benchmark Braking

Every corner of the 2015 Dodge Viper SRT® features a robust four-piston Brembo® brake system with fixed aluminium calipers and 14x1.3-inch vented/slotted rotors. Braking is firm and confident even under extreme track conditions. The calipers are among the stiffest available. All surfaces are machined for full weight optimization.

Ford Mustang

Coming to grips with a thoroughbred

The latest version of the quintessential muscle car boasts unprecedented handling and road holding. To keep the Ford Mustang’s more than 300 HP under control, Brembo developed 6-piston aluminium pillar calipers combined with 380 mm slotted front discs. Ideal for those who want to achieve the most from their car, in everyday life as well as for a few days on the race track.

Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8

Big is beautiful ... even for the brake system!

A four by four overflowing with power such as the Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 requires a braking system capable of ensuring equally powerful deceleration. The Brembo recipe includes high-energy 6 piston pillar calipers at the front and 4-piston versions at the rear respectively coupled with 380 mm and 350 mm discs. The result is a braking system capable of combining supercar performance, off road stamina, comfort and great looks.

Lexus RC F

Pillar calipers and slotted discs

Reining back such a high-performance beast lap after lap requires serious stopping power. To give you the control you crave, the high-performance Brembo® braking system* features huge slotted 14.9-inch front brake rotors clamped by massive six-piston pillar calipers and 13.5-inch rear slotted rotors with four-piston calipers.
