Paddle Ventilation (PVT): Brembo's patent for PVT ventilated brake discs changes market conventions by using paddles instead of vanes in the ventilation chamber. The system improves cooling capacity and increases thermal crack resistance by over 40%. The most relevant innovations are represented by the reduced free space for crack propagation, the greater heat exchange surface area, and the higher air turbulence.

UV Painting: The reduced environmental impact and excellent quality allow the range of UV-painted brake discs to set a benchmark alternative to the original product. The exclusive metallic finish gives your Dacia Sandero an attractive aesthetic impact: the metallic effect, which provides the disc with a shiny, clean appearance. The protective paint coating, which is also present on the friction ring, outer diameter, and bell, ensures complete protection of the disc. Its higher resistance to corrosion, humidity, and temperatures exceeding those of other products on the market is proven through salt spray chamber tests. Finally, the water-based UV paint does not require solvents. The UV curing paint process is highly energy-efficient.

Finally, the UV painting treatment, with its exclusive metallic finish, provides an appealing aesthetic impact and high corrosion resistance, while also respecting the environment. In all cases, the recommended pairing for the Dacia Sandero is with Brembo Prime brake pads.

Brembo Max for Dacia Sandero

An option to benefit from superior brake system response for your Dacia Sandero is provided by the vented discs.

The vented and painted Brembo Max discs guarantee superior braking performance for your Dacia Sandero in all conditions, particularly in wet conditions, optimizing driving performance and ensuring the constant renewal of the friction material.

Compared to standard brake discs, the design of Brembo Max discs and their higher friction coefficient ensure better performance in the initial stages of braking for the Dacia Sandero. A more responsive brake pedal and immediate braking engagement ensure fast and effective braking.

Particular usage conditions that cause the disc temperature to rise above 800°C, such as descending from an alpine pass, lead to the combustion of the phenolic resins that make up the friction material. This results in a dangerous loss of braking efficiency (fading) due to the release of gases that form between the brake pad and the disc's friction bands. The specific design of the grooves in Brembo Max discs allows for rapid expulsion of such gases, quickly restoring optimal braking conditions. Additionally, the exclusive grooves of Brembo Max ensure a constant renewal of the friction material (micro-shave effect), preventing the glazing of the brake pad surface.

One of the grooves of Brembo Max is designed to allow for direct and immediate monitoring of the brake disc's wear conditions. The disappearance of this groove indicates that the recommended minimum thickness has been reached; the user thus knows that the worn disc should be replaced. The system's functionality is ensured by the remaining grooves. The perfect balance of the disc is maintained by creating a similar groove on the internal friction band of the disc, positioned diametrically opposite.

The exclusive design, featuring asymmetric grooves directed outward, allows Brembo Max to ensure more effective water dispersion from the disc surface, providing the driver with better wet performance and, in general, a substantial uniformity of behavior in varying atmospheric conditions.

Brembo also considers motorists who fit alloy wheels on their Dacia Sandero: with Brembo Max vented discs, the areas not involved in braking action are UV-painted to eliminate aesthetic imperfections caused by brake disc corrosion.

Brembo Xtra Discs: Reliability and Attractive Design

If for you, change goes hand in hand with improvement, you cannot overlook Brembo perforated discs.

Brembo Xtra stands out for its appealing aesthetic effect and its brilliant and effective performance in all braking conditions. The credit goes to the holes made in the friction ring, which increase grip, especially in the initial braking phases, even at high temperatures and on wet surfaces. Additionally, the holes create a scraping effect that cleans the brake pad surface of dangerous material deposits. And, once again, the holes ensure heat and gas dissipation, benefiting performance. These significant advantages go hand in hand with a sporty look, enhanced by UV painting.

Developed by the R&D department based on its experience with car manufacturers and the motorsport world, Brembo Xtra discs are characterized by holes in the friction ring that significantly improve brake system performance.

To achieve a high-performance and safe product, Brembo engineers studied the number, size, shape, and position of each hole for each specific disc in the range during the design phase. The Brembo Xtra discs, designed in this way, have passed all dynamometer and road tests.

Brake Fluid

Within the braking system, brake fluid is one of the most crucial elements for the safety and performance of the vehicle. Unfortunately, brake fluid is often a neglected product, typically checked in a superficial manner, with a simple top-up instead of a proper replacement at the manufacturer's recommended interval.

Such a habit leaves room for Vapour Lock, the formation of vapor bubbles caused by the boiling of the brake fluid, which, replacing the normal fluid, gets compressed, sending the pedal to the floor (spongy pedal). The origin of the problem lies in the porosity of the hoses that make up the braking circuit, which over time allows the fluid to absorb moisture, drastically lowering its boiling point; the result is reduced braking efficiency.

Brembo brake fluids offer a boiling point higher than the required standards, thus providing superior resistance to Vapour Lock and ensuring efficient braking in all conditions. Thanks to their high anti-corrosive properties and oxidation resistance, Brembo brake fluids also help maintain the chemical/physical characteristics of the fluid in the operating circuit over time, preserving its integrity.

The Brembo Premium Brake Fluid line offers several solutions to meet the needs of all vehicles.

DOT 4, with a particularly high boiling point and a viscosity lower than required, meets and greatly exceeds regulatory standards. It is also suitable for vehicles equipped with ABS.

DOT 4 Low Viscosity is recommended for the latest generation vehicles with electronic braking and stability control systems such as ABS, ESP, ASR, TCS, and EBD, and is characterized by its extremely low viscosity.

DOT 5.1, characterized by superior performance in high-temperature resistance and viscosity value, is recommended for high-performance vehicles, including vehicles with ABS.

Xtra brake fluid, on the other hand, is the ideal solution that combines the high-temperature resistance of DOT 5.1 fluid with the low viscosity of DOT 4 Low Viscosity fluid.

Viscosity is an important factor for the proper functioning of the braking system, especially in modern vehicles equipped with anti-lock braking systems (ABS) and electronic systems for traction and stability control (ESP).
