Brake pads: Brembo brake pads deliver the best in performance, comfort and durability
Brembo brake pads for Ducati models are available in a wide range of compounds: from organic to sintered, through to carbon-ceramic. Brembo thus meets the specific requirements of every type of motorcycle — racing, road, city, off-road — and the expectations of every motorcyclist.
Sinter Genuine and Carbon Ceramic
Materials developed by Brembo and selected directly by motorcycle manufacturers for original equipment. Genuine pads are available in different compounds, each characterised by a specific friction coefficient: between 50 and 99 for sintered compounds, and between 10 and 49 for carbon-ceramic compounds. A higher value always corresponds to a higher friction coefficient.
SA Compound
It is a sintered compound, specific for front tyre applications, characterised by excellent efficiency in all conditions of use. It therefore represents the ideal alternative to original Ducati brake pads, both when cold and when hot. This compound guarantees good stability of the friction coefficient under different conditions of use and reduced wear.
LA Compound
Identified by the white backing plate, the LA compound is sintered and specific for the front axle, designed for road use. It ensures a high friction coefficient both when cold and hot, excellent responsiveness, good braking stability and an average durability approximately 30% higher than the SA compound.
CC Compound
It represents the natural development of the organic compound, with a higher carbon content. This friction material is distinguished by high mileage on all Ducati models and by good performance both when hot and cold, on dry and wet surfaces.
SP Compound
This sintered compound is specifically designed for rear tyre applications: stable in every operating condition, it combines contained wear that guarantees Ducati models suitable durability and mileage.
XS Compound
Usable both at the front and rear, the XS sintered compound is designed for the latest-generation maxi scooters. Ease of bedding-in and high stability as speed varies — even in urban environments, where scooter braking has different characteristics from that of a motorcycle — make it the ideal choice.
CC Compound
Although it has a lower friction coefficient than the XS compound, this semi-metallic organic compound ensures high stability and modulation, making it the most suitable choice for small- and medium-displacement scooters.
TT Compound
The semi-metallic Carbon Ceramic compound is suitable for off-road use and particularly on low-grip surfaces, thanks to its high modulation.
Brake calipers: comfort, design and performance
Brembo aluminium calipers, thanks to the use of exclusive production technologies, guarantee all Ducati models a high level of performance in terms of braking power, control and comfort, as well as unmatched design in the motorcycle sector.
The result of an advanced production and design process is a lightweight, compact caliper body with high stiffness values; the meticulous design of the hydraulic components further amplifies power and modulation, qualities that have always made Brembo calipers unmistakable.
The use of the best aluminium alloys and the specific machining processes adopted, together with continuous innovation in design, give Brembo calipers exceptional rigidity that ensures incisive braking, very short response times and constant lever travel.
Available with radial and axial mounts in the fixed version, and with one or two pistons in the floating version, Brembo calipers meet every requirement. For more sporting applications, exclusive monobloc technology delivers maximum performance with very low weight.
Brembo calipers are made of cast and oxidised aluminium in different colours (black, gold, aluminium, titanium), with particular attention to design that contributes to giving an always highly appealing look to equipped motorcycles.
These are some of the most iconic Brembo calipers available for Ducati models:
M50 Caliper
First introduced in 2011 on the Ducati 1199 Panigale, the M50 is the Brembo monobloc caliper par excellence. The “M” specifically indicates monobloc technology, launched by Brembo in MotoGP in 1994: the caliper body is made from a single piece of cast aluminium to ensure optimal structural rigidity.
Brembo Stylema – Supersport monobloc caliper
The Stylema features a caliper body that is 9% lighter than previous models while maintaining the same rigidity, ensuring consistent performance over time for Ducati models: the average friction coefficient increased by 11% thanks to a pad made from a new material. Thanks to the study of its shapes — evident in the innovative opening in the central bridge — brake fluid temperature is reduced by up to 10%, preserving effectiveness over time. The Stylema’s stylistic character integrates perfectly with the lines of supersport motorcycles.
Brembo Hypure – The Lightest Caliper in the Category
The Brembo Hypure front brake caliper is designed to significantly reduce weight without compromising rigidity, thus improving the motorcycle’s handling and overall performance. The asymmetric design of the Hypure caliper allows a 10% weight reduction compared with benchmark calipers for the same application, making it the lightest component in its category. This not only increases motorcycle agility, but also helps reduce unsprung inertia, which is fundamental for more precise and responsive riding. Despite its light weight, the caliper maintains high rigidity, resulting in superior braking performance and optimal control.
Brake and clutch master cylinders: Always-ready and modulable response
For your Ducati, Brembo brake master cylinders ensure consistently ready and modulable braking in any condition. Ergonomics are carefully designed to guarantee maximum linearity of behaviour at all times.
They are made of cast or die-cast aluminium, a material that ensures lightness, strength and excellent aesthetic finishes, and are produced both with separate reservoirs and integrated reservoirs. Brembo production includes front master cylinders, radial or axial, rear master cylinders and clutch master cylinders.
The strength of Brembo brake master cylinders lies mainly in their exceptional modulation. The extensive experience gained in the design of hydraulic, kinematic and ergonomic components makes it possible to significantly reduce friction in movement and achieve greater resistance to flexing.
The result is extraordinary linearity between the force applied by the rider to the lever and the braking response, capable of providing braking feel that is unmistakable and unparalleled.
DOT 4 LOW VISCOSITY brake fluid: the safe and reliable option for your Ducati
Suitable for all everyday riding situations, DOT 4 Low Viscosity fluid is the recommended choice for latest-generation vehicles with electronic braking and stability control systems such as ABS, TCS and EBD. Its main characteristic is its extremely low viscosity.

Developed and tested to work in synergy with Xtra pads on the most sport-oriented Ducati models, these discs combine effective and consistent performance under extreme operating conditions with very low weight. Specific materials and machining guarantee significantly higher braking power, high resistance to prolonged thermo-mechanical stress and uniform performance in every condition.
Supersport Discs
Supersport discs have been designed to offer the highest performance, both on the road and on the track, to all owners of the most popular European and Japanese supersport motorcycles. Combined with Brembo Z04 pads, these discs have won numerous SuperSport World Championships.
With a 34 mm-high braking surface and thickness increased to 5.5 mm, supersport discs replace the original ones without requiring any modification.
Fully floating discs: the heat-treated steel braking surface resists extreme thermo-mechanical stresses, while the bell is machined from solid aluminium alloy.
The Groove – absolute quality and Brembo style
Fully floating, they are made with a heat-treated steel braking surface, resistant to extreme thermo-mechanical stresses, and a bell machined from solid aluminium alloy. The unmistakable red Brembo logo is inserted between the spokes of the brake disc bell. In short: unique style and absolute quality.
Brake pads: maximum friction and zero fading
Although it is the smallest solid component of the braking system, the pad is among the most highly stressed: choosing the compound best suited to your Ducati is essential, especially if you cover hundreds of kilometres in a single ride or tens of thousands over the course of the year.
Based on a sintered compound for sporting use on track and road, Brembo SR pads maintain consistent braking from the beginning to the end of every session thanks to their excellent friction coefficient and stability at high temperatures, guaranteeing high performance in every road condition.
Brake Calipers: aesthetics and everyday riding pleasure
Brake Calipers: Distinctive Design and Enhanced Everyday Riding (H3)
At the forefront of technological evolution in the field of braking systems, Xtra calipers guarantee Ducati models powerful, precise and consistent braking. Their aggressive design, refined down to the smallest details, improves heat dissipation and resistance to high temperatures, while their uncompromisingly sporty feel — developed on the track and also suitable for road use — makes them the perfect balance between performance and style.
Hypure: The design that makes the difference on your Ducati
The Brembo Hypure front brake caliper is also available in a painted version to add another element of customisation and recognisability to your Ducati. Designed to significantly reduce weight without sacrificing rigidity, it contributes to improving the motorcycle’s handling and overall performance. The asymmetric design allows a 10% weight reduction compared with benchmark calipers for the same application, making Hypure the lightest component in its category. This translates not only into greater agility, but also into reduced unsprung inertia, which is crucial for more precise and responsive riding. The high rigidity maintained despite the light weight guarantees superior braking performance and optimal control. The Xtra version is available in the following colours: yellow, red, black.

Brake pads: Absolute friction performance, fading eliminated
The Upgrade pad range is designed for the track, guaranteeing the highest possible stability under all extreme temperature and speed conditions. Pure performance.
RC Compound
Developed specifically for the track, this compound is distinguished by high friction and stability as both speed and operating temperature vary, conditions typical of racing use. Wear remains contained even in the case of intensive use.
SX Compound
Sintered compound designed for Motocross and SuperMotard applications. In Off-Road use, it is the pad with the highest friction coefficients, capable of guaranteeing maximum efficiency and consistency in performance under all conditions, with particular reference to high temperatures and the most demanding environments (mud, water and sand).
Brake Discs: the best of Brembo technology
The brake discs in the Brembo Upgrade family are characterised by an unmistakable racing look and offer Ducati models the highest performance in every situation.
The T-drive disc, the result of the experience accumulated in MotoGP™ and Superbike™, introduces an innovative coupling system between the braking surface and bell, consisting of eight “T” pins machined into the disc and eight shapes on the bell, which eliminates the drive pins.
The specific analysis of tolerances that characterises this solution allows a significant reduction in weight and radial and axial floating capable of transmitting greater braking torque.
This disc also offers excellent resistance to thermo-mechanical stresses, particularly evident under extreme conditions of use, such as in competitions. T-drive discs are available for the most popular Maxisportive motorcycles, without any modification.
Upgrade brake calipers: track performance with the aesthetics of a racing motorcycle
Born to excel on the track, the brake calipers in the UPGRADE range offer absolute control under the most extreme speed and temperature conditions. Made with high-performance materials and precision machining, they guarantee immediate response and superior braking power on every lap. The compact and lightweight design reduces unsprung masses, with a direct benefit to vehicle dynamics. Stability, resistance and consistency: every element is designed for those who accept no compromises in the pursuit of performance.
GP4-MS Caliper
Designed using topology optimisation, like MotoGP™ calipers, and machined from a solid block of aluminium, the GP4-MS offers greater resistance to high temperatures than cast calipers and, consequently, superior performance.
The GP4-MS also shares its surface finish with racing calipers, featuring a nickel-plated finish, while the use of a double seal — one inside the piston and a second dust seal — eliminates the need for the periodic overhauls required by track-only calipers.
GP4-RS
For a significant upgrade of the standard system, the GP4-RS can also be chosen, also a monobloc, manufactured using a highly complex casting technique and equipped with fins around the pistons. The GP4-RB and GP4-RX radial calipers, each with four pistons, are instead made of two pieces with a body entirely in aluminium alloy. For the rear, we recommend the GP2-CR and GP2-SS, both two-piece calipers machined from solid and equipped with two 34 mm pistons: both offer a good combination of lightness and rigidity.
The GP4-MS Caliper (finned)
The Brembo GP4-MS brings track technology to the road, combining solid-machined aluminium with monobloc technology. This construction choice makes it possible to use materials with superior mechanical characteristics and high resistance even under the most extreme operating conditions. The range is expanded with a new version with 100 mm mounting.
The ribbing in the front section, which surrounds four aluminium pistons, ensures maximum rigidity of the system. The ventilation fins introduced on the external body optimise the heat exchange of the braking system, promoting its cooling.
GP4-MotoGP™
The GP4-MotoGP™ brings technology developed on the track to the road, adapting to the needs of today’s motorcycles and the most demanding enthusiasts. Like the calipers of MotoGP™ and SBK™ professionals, it is monobloc, machined from solid aluminium, finned, with a nickel-plated finish and new design.
The GP4-MotoGP™ caliper derives from technology developed in MotoGP™ and therefore uses the diagonal sliding of the pads to amplify braking torque for the same force applied to the lever, guaranteeing unprecedented performance. Particular attention has been paid to the introduction of ventilation fins on the external body and new racing pistons, both features that improve the heat exchange of the braking system, contributing to its cooling. No less important is the appealing design of the latest Brembo GP4-MotoGP™ caliper, further enhanced by the nickel surface finish, which gives the caliper a brighter and smoother appearance.
Brake Master Cylinders: Maximum Responsiveness and Unparalleled Modulation
For those who demand the utmost in control, precision and responsiveness, the brake and clutch master cylinders in the UPGRADE range are the natural choice. Designed to guarantee consistent performance even under the most stressful conditions, they ensure impeccable modulation and immediate response. Lightweight and resistant materials combined with technical solutions from the racing world provide direct feel and absolute reliability: the ideal connection between rider and motorcycle, in every corner.
Genesis and history
The Brembo radial brake master cylinder allows greater responsiveness and more modulable braking under all conditions of use. The result is excellent linearity between the force applied by the rider to the lever and the braking response, in order to obtain a unique and inimitable braking feel. The master cylinder body in aluminium alloy can be obtained through forging and then machined with CNC machines, or machined completely from solid for the ultimate expression of technology and performance.
For the surface finish, the oxidation normally used in MotoGP™ and Superbike™ has been chosen. Brembo radial master cylinders are available with pistons of different diameters and different lever ratios, to meet the rider’s customised requirements. For maximum feel, the levers are also available, in STD and folding versions, in different lengths.
Radial RCS: the same feeling, on road and track
Brembo RCS radial master cylinders, both brake and clutch, bring technology developed in racing directly to your motorcycle, offering an unrivalled level of control, modulation and precision.
The Brembo RCS radial brake master cylinder puts the rider in a position to choose between powerful or modulable braking, depending on the road surface, weather, personal sensitivity and feel with the motorcycle. The patented adjustment system, derived directly from MotoGP™, allows the same master cylinder to be adapted to any use. Created to democratise MotoGP™ and Superbike™ technology, the Brembo RCS radial master cylinder is a true new frontier for high-performance brake components.
The RCS system consists of an adjuster that allows the lever ratio to be changed to 18 or 20 mm, in order to achieve the ideal feel between rider and motorcycle. By changing the lever ratio, the braking system can be made more responsive and ready (20 mm) or more modulable (18 mm). The configuration change is extremely quick: with the eccentric system (red at 18 mm, black at 20 mm), a screwdriver is enough to adjust the lever ratio of the master cylinder by rotating the adjuster located on the front of the guide lever by 180°. This results in a different distribution of braking force that does not modify pure power.
The piston, seals and pushrod of RCS master cylinders are the same used by the vast majority of MotoGP™ and Superbike™ riders: they are distinguished by extremely reduced machining tolerances and excellent smoothness.
The RCS radial master cylinder is divided into two versions: 19 mm piston and 15 mm piston. The 19RCS is suitable for twin-disc systems with 4 non-floating pistons; the 15RCS is installed on single-disc systems with a 4-piston caliper or on twin-disc systems with floating calipers. A dedicated microswitch for the Stop Light (brake) allows road use.
RCS Corsa Corta: the evolution of radial technology
The direct result of the experience accumulated in MotoGP™ championships, the RCS CorsaCorta is the most advanced expression of Brembo radial technology. Available in brake and clutch versions, it offers an even more refined degree of customisation compared with the traditional RCS.
The RCS CORSA CORTA evolves the concept of the radial master cylinder by introducing numerous innovations to MotoGP™ technical solutions. The key feature is the selector on the upper part of the master cylinder — easily accessible — which allows the rider to adjust the “bite point” through an eccentric device, choosing between three feel maps:
NORMAL Map – letter N: more gradual initial phase, ideal for riding in the city or on low-grip surfaces.
SPORT Map – letter S: shorter initial phase than N for a more dynamic and sporty response.
RACE Map – letter R: initial phase at the minimum value of MotoGP™ master cylinders, designed for those looking for maximum performance in every hundredth of braking.
Brembo RCS CORSA CORTA RR – Race Replica at the highest level
The RCS Corsa Corta RR represents the pinnacle of Brembo radial technology, derived directly from MotoGP™ and Superbike™ racing. Available in brake and clutch versions, this Race Replica master cylinder is machined from solid and designed to express maximum performance, precision and sensitivity.
The black hard-anodised finish protects the master cylinder body from wear and guarantees smooth movement of the components. The floating piston and seals are those supplied with MotoGP™ master cylinders; the bleed and feed ports, inclined by more than 30°, simplify bleeding operations.
The lever, modified in shape, retains its characteristic feature, which has made it famous among enthusiasts. The rider can adapt the position of the braking bite point to the desired riding feel through a selector located on the upper part of the master cylinder. The latter allows a choice between the three different feel maps available (Normal, Sport, Race).
The new RCS CORSA CORTA RR is distinguished by the recently renewed Brembo logo, with softer and more rounded shapes, designed to engage with digitally native generations.
