Brake pads: Brembo brake pads deliver the best in performance, comfort and durability

For BMW models, Brembo offers brake pads in a variety of compounds — organic, sintered and carbon-ceramic — capable of meeting the requirements of every type of motorcycle: racing, road, urban and off-road, for every rider.

Sinter Genuine and Carbon Ceramic

Materials developed by Brembo and selected directly by motorcycle manufacturers for original equipment applications. Genuine pads are available in different compounds, each characterised by a specific friction coefficient: between 50 and 99 for sintered compounds, and between 10 and 49 for carbon-ceramic compounds. A higher value always corresponds to a higher friction coefficient.

SA Compound

A sintered compound designed for the front axle, offering excellent performance in all riding conditions and representing the ideal replacement for original BMW brake pads, both during warm-up and at operating temperature. The compound ensures good friction coefficient stability under different operating conditions and low wear.

LA Compound

Identified by its white backing plate, the LA compound is sintered and specifically designed for the front axle and road use. It provides a high friction coefficient both when cold and hot, excellent responsiveness, good braking stability and an average service life approximately 30% longer than the SA compound.

CC Compound

An evolution of the organic compound with a higher carbon content, this friction material is characterised by high mileage across all BMW models and good performance both hot and cold, in dry and wet conditions.

SP Compound

A sintered compound specifically designed for rear-wheel applications, stable under all operating conditions and characterised by low wear, ensuring BMW models with appropriate durability and mileage.

XS Compound

The XS sintered compound is suitable for both front and rear applications. Designed for the latest-generation maxi scooters, it stands out for its extremely easy bedding-in process. It ensures high stability at different speeds, including urban riding, where scooter braking behaviour differs from that of a motorcycle.

CC Compound

With lower friction coefficients than the XS compound, the semi-metallic organic compound makes up for this with high stability and modulation, making it particularly suitable for small- and medium-displacement scooters.

TT Compound

The high modulation offered by the semi-metallic matrix Carbon Ceramic compound makes it particularly suitable for off-road use, where low-grip surfaces require maximum control.

Brembo brake calipers: where performance meets design and comfort

Made from aluminium using exclusive manufacturing technologies, Brembo calipers deliver high levels of braking performance, control and comfort across all BMW models, combined with a distinctive design within the motorcycle industry.

The result of state-of-the-art design and manufacturing, the caliper body stands out for its light weight, compact dimensions and high stiffness values. The meticulous development of the hydraulic components further enhances the power and modulation that have always been key qualities of Brembo calipers.

The use of high-quality aluminium alloys and specific machining processes, together with continuous innovation in design, gives Brembo calipers exceptional stiffness, ensuring consistently sharp braking, very short response times and a consistent lever travel.

Brembo fixed calipers are available with both radial and axial mounting, while floating calipers are available in one- and two-piston versions. For more sporting motorcycles, exclusive monobloc technology delivers maximum performance with extremely low weight.

Brembo cast and anodised aluminium calipers stand out for their range of available colours (black, gold, aluminium and titanium) and their attention to detail, enhancing the aesthetics of every equipped motorcycle.

Among the most iconic calipers available for BMW models, the following options include:

Brembo M50 – Monobloc caliper

First introduced in 2011 on the Ducati 1199 Panigale, the M50 is the quintessential Brembo monobloc caliper. The "M" specifically indicates monobloc technology, launched by Brembo in MotoGP in 1994: the caliper body is machined from a single piece of cast aluminium to ensure optimum structural stiffness.

Brembo Stylema – Supersport monobloc caliper

The Stylema reduces caliper body weight by 9% compared with previous models while maintaining the same stiffness, delivering unmatched and consistent performance to BMW models over time. The average friction coefficient increases by 11% thanks to a new pad material, while the study of the shapes — highlighted by the innovative opening in the central bridge — reduces brake fluid temperature by up to 10%. Style and functionality blend harmoniously with the lines of supersport motorcycles.

Hypure Brake Caliper

The Brembo Hypure front brake caliper is designed to significantly reduce weight without compromising stiffness, thereby improving the motorcycle's handling and overall performance. Its asymmetric design enables a 10% weight reduction compared with reference calipers for the same application, making it the lightest component in its category. This not only increases motorcycle agility, but also reduces unsprung mass, a key factor in achieving more precise and responsive handling. Despite its reduced weight, the caliper maintains high stiffness, resulting in superior braking performance and optimum control.

Brake and clutch master cylinders: modulation in every riding condition

In every operating condition, Brembo brake master cylinders ensure prompt and highly controllable braking on your BMW. Ergonomics are developed with the utmost attention to always ensure the best possible response linearity.

They are made from cast or die-cast aluminium, a material that ensures light weight, strength and excellent aesthetic finishes, and are available with both separate and integrated reservoirs. Brembo's range includes front radial or axial master cylinders, rear master cylinders and clutch master cylinders.

Modulation is the most distinctive feature of Brembo brake master cylinders. The expertise accumulated in the design of hydraulic, kinematic and ergonomic components translates into a significant reduction in friction during movement and greater resistance to flex.

The result is excellent linearity between the force applied to the lever by the rider and the braking response, providing a unique and unmistakable braking feel.

DOT 4 LOW VISCOSITY brake fluid: the safe and reliable option for your BMW

DOT 4 Low Viscosity brake fluid is ideal for all daily riding conditions. Recommended for latest-generation vehicles equipped with electronic braking and stability control systems such as ABS, TCS and EBD, it stands out for its extremely low viscosity.

Brake Discs: the best of Brembo technology

The racing look is the first distinctive feature of Brembo Upgrade brake discs: an aesthetic that anticipates the maximum performance they deliver to BMW models in every situation.

Born from experience in MotoGP™ and Superbike™, the T-Drive disc introduces a completely new system for coupling the braking surface and carrier: eight T-shaped drive pins integrated into the disc and eight corresponding slots in the carrier replace the traditional drive pins.

Through a specific study of tolerances, this configuration enables a significant reduction in weight as well as both radial and axial floating, allowing greater braking torque to be transmitted.

This disc also guarantees excellent resistance to thermo-mechanical stresses, particularly evident under the most extreme operating conditions, such as racing. T-Drive discs are compatible with the most popular maxisport motorcycles without any modifications.

Brake calipers: refined aesthetics for maximum riding satisfaction

Born to excel on the track, UPGRADE brake calipers offer absolute control under the most extreme speed and temperature conditions. Made using high-performance materials and precision machining processes, they guarantee immediate response and superior braking power on every lap. Their compact, lightweight design reduces unsprung mass, directly benefiting vehicle dynamics. Stability, resistance and consistency: every element is designed for those who accept no compromises in the pursuit of performance.

Brembo GP4-MS – Track monobloc caliper for the road

Designed using topology optimisation, like MotoGP™ calipers, and machined from a solid block of aluminium, the GP4-MS offers greater resistance to high temperatures than cast calipers and, consequently, superior performance.

The GP4-MS also shares its surface finish with racing calipers, featuring a nickel-plated finish, while the use of a double seal — one inside the piston and a second dust seal — eliminates the need for the periodic overhauls required by track-only calipers.

Brembo GP4-RS and radial variants

For a significant upgrade over the standard braking system, the GP4-RS is another option. This monobloc caliper is manufactured using a complex casting technique and features fins around the pistons. The GP4-RB and GP4-RX radial calipers, consisting of two pieces with bodies made entirely from aluminium alloy and each equipped with four pistons, complete the range. For the rear, the recommended options are the GP2-CR and GP2-SS, both two-piece calipers machined from solid and equipped with two 34 mm pistons, offering a good balance between light weight and stiffness.

The GP4-MS Caliper (finned)

The Brembo GP4-MS brings track technology to the road, combining billet aluminium machining with monobloc technology. This construction method allows the use of materials with superior mechanical properties and high resistance even under the most extreme operating conditions.

The range is expanded with a new version featuring 100 mm mounting.

The ribbed section at the front surrounds four aluminium pistons and ensures maximum system stiffness. Particular attention has been paid to the introduction of ventilation fins on the outer body, which improve heat exchange within the braking system and contribute to cooling.

GP4-MotoGP™

From track to road without compromise: the GP4-MotoGP™ meets the needs of modern motorcycles and the most demanding enthusiasts. Like the calipers used by professional MotoGP™ and SBK™ riders, it is a monobloc caliper machined from solid aluminium, featuring fins, a nickel-plated finish and a new design.

The direct successor to MotoGP™ technology, the GP4-MotoGP™ uses diagonal pad movement to multiply braking torque for the same force applied to the lever, delivering unprecedented levels of performance. The ventilation fins on the outer body and the new racing pistons improve heat exchange within the braking system, contributing to cooling. The GP4-MotoGP™ design is further enhanced by its nickel-plated surface finish, giving the caliper a bright and refined appearance.

Brake Master Cylinders: absolute responsiveness and unrivalled modulation

The brake and clutch master cylinders in the UPGRADE range are the ideal answer for those who accept no compromises in control, precision and responsiveness. Developed to ensure consistent performance even under extreme stress, they provide impeccable modulation and an instantaneous response in every situation. The use of lightweight, durable materials combined with technical solutions derived from the racing world gives each component a direct feel and absolute reliability. A perfect connection between rider and motorcycle, designed for those who approach every corner as if it were the next victory.

The roots

The Brembo radial brake master cylinder was created to provide superior responsiveness and more controllable braking in every operating condition. Excellent linearity between lever force and braking response creates a unique and unmistakable feel. The aluminium alloy master cylinder body can be manufactured by forging followed by CNC machining, or entirely machined from solid for the highest expression of technology and performance.

The choice of surface finish is based on the oxidation treatment typical of MotoGP™ and Superbike™. The range of pistons with different diameters and variable lever pivot distances allows each Brembo radial master cylinder to be customised to the rider's specific requirements. The levers, available in STD and folding versions and in different lengths, complete the customisation for maximum feel.

RCS Radial: the same feel, on the road and track

Brembo RCS radial master cylinders — available in brake and clutch versions — transfer racing technology directly to your motorcycle, delivering an unrivalled level of precision, modulation and control.

The Brembo RCS radial brake master cylinder allows the rider to choose between powerful or more progressive braking, depending on the road surface, weather, personal sensitivity and feel with the motorcycle. The patented adjustment system, derived directly from MotoGP™, allows the same master cylinder to be adapted to any application. Created to bring MotoGP™ and Superbike™ technology to a wider audience, the Brembo RCS radial master cylinder represents a genuine new frontier for high-performance brake components.

At the heart of the RCS system is the adjuster that allows the lever pivot distance to be varied between 18 and 20 mm to find the optimum feel with the motorcycle. At 20 mm, the system becomes more responsive and immediate; at 18 mm, it offers greater modulation. The change is extremely quick: the coloured eccentric system (red for 18 mm, black for 20 mm) requires only a screwdriver and a 180° rotation of the adjuster on the front of the lever, affecting braking force distribution but not outright power.

The internal components of RCS master cylinders — piston, seals and pushrod — are the same as those used by almost all MotoGP™ and Superbike™ riders. Extremely tight machining tolerances and excellent smoothness are their defining characteristics.

The RCS radial master cylinder is available in two versions: 19 mm or 15 mm piston. The 19RCS is designed for twin-disc systems with four non-floating pistons, while the 15RCS can be fitted to single-disc systems with a four-piston caliper or twin-disc systems with floating calipers. For road use, the brake master cylinder features a dedicated microswitch for activating the brake light.

RCS Corsa Corta, the next step

A direct result of the experience accumulated in MotoGP™ championships, the RCS CorsaCorta is the most advanced expression of Brembo radial technology. Available in brake and clutch versions, it offers an even more refined level of customisation than the traditional RCS.

The RCS CORSA CORTA takes the concept of the radial master cylinder to the next level, integrating numerous innovations inspired by MotoGP™ master cylinder technical solutions. Its main feature is the selector positioned on top of the master cylinder, easily accessible and allowing the rider to customise the "bite point" — the point at which braking engages — through an eccentric device offering three different feel maps:

NORMAL Map – identified by the letter N, it provides a gradual initial phase for city riding or low-grip surfaces.

SPORT Map – identified by the letter S, it shortens the initial phase compared with N for a more dynamic response and sportier riding.

RACE Map – identified by the letter R, it reduces the initial phase to the minimum value used by MotoGP™ master cylinders, for those seeking maximum racing performance in every fraction of braking.

The RCS CORSA CORTA RR

The ultimate expression of Brembo radial technology: the RCS CorsaCorta RR is derived directly from MotoGP™ and Superbike™ racing. Available in brake and clutch versions, this billet-machined Race Replica master cylinder is designed to deliver the absolute maximum in performance, precision and sensitivity.

The black hard-anodised finish protects the master cylinder body against wear and ensures smooth component operation. The floating piston and seals are the same as those used on MotoGP™ master cylinders; the bleed and feed ports, angled by more than 30°, simplify bleeding operations.

Renewed in shape while remaining faithful to the features that made it famous, the lever allows the rider to customise the "bite point" using the selector on the upper part of the master cylinder, choosing between the three available feel maps (Normal, Sport, Race).

The new RCS CORSA CORTA RR features the new Brembo logo: softer, more rounded shapes designed to resonate with digitally native generations.
