The President of FIA welcomed by Brembo President Alberto Bombassei.

Today, Brembo had the pleasure and honour of welcoming Jean Todt, President of the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA), for a visit to the Company’s production plant in Curno (Bergamo, Italy).

Todt, welcomed by Brembo President, Alberto Bombassei, Executive Vice President Matteo Tiraboschi and Chief Technical Officer Giorgio Ascanelli, visited the department where the Racing/ Performance braking systems are produced and tested. The last visit of Jean Todt at Brembo factories dates fifteen years ago, when he was Director of Ferrari Gestione Sportiva.

Under his management, Ferrari won five F1 Drivers’ World Championships and 6 F1 Constructors’ Titles, always equipped with Brembo braking systems

Since then, technology has made considerable steps and today Jean Todt has personally witnessed the remarkable development of Brembo’s Racing Department in Curno.

On this occasion, and in coincidence with the inauguration of Brembo’s new internal showroom, the President of FIA has received from Alberto Bombassei the international prize "Bernie Ecclestone Award by Brembo", awarded to Mr. Todt in 2015 but then not presented to him at the Grand Prix of Italy in Monza due to logistic obstacles.

The Award was assigned to Jean Todt for his high entrepreneurial, sporting and technical achievements, and for the remarkable contribution given to the growth and prestige of Formula One.
