Brembo brake calipers made with up to 100% recycled aluminum embody our vision: transforming sustainability into innovation and innovation into strength, design, and identity. Because for us, excellence means creating calipers that are as responsible as they are extraordinary.
Innovation starts at the source with recycled aluminum. Thanks to this material, CO₂ emissions related to the lifecycle of the caliper are reduced by up to 70%*, while maintaining Brembo's iconic design, unparalleled performance, and the distinctive character of the product.
Up to 100% recycled aluminum, up to 70% fewer emissions
Brembo calipers made entirely of recycled aluminum mark a significant step in sustainable innovation, reducing the CO₂ lifecycle emissions by up to 70%* compared to traditional alloys.
The benefits of this solution go far beyond: aluminum is inherently infinitely recyclable, retaining its value regardless of the number of reuses.
Thanks to this innovation, stylistic freedom remains unchanged. The distinctive lines, a wide range of colors, and the unmistakable Brembo style continue to define every caliper.
Moreover, the chosen alloy is globally available, ensuring a unified standard across all Brembo facilities, ready to be adopted on a global scale without compromise.
The first, without equal
Every detail tells a story.
The first Brembo caliper made from up to 100% recycled aluminum is a six-piston monoblock with ENESYS spring.
For the launch, three different shades of blue were chosen to symbolize Brembo's commitment to braking solutions designed to reduce specific environmental impacts, such as particulate emissions and material consumption, while the design reflects Brembo's dedication to performance, style, and unmistakable character.
In 2026, the first caliper made from recycled aluminum entered the market with a manufacturer. Gradually, this innovation will be extended to new projects, while for calipers already in production, Brembo will continue to use conventional aluminum until the end of their lifecycle, prioritizing the use of aluminum produced through renewable energy sources.
More than recycled: upcycled
It’s not just recycled aluminum — it’s much more: these calipers are made from upcycled aluminum. This is the true meaning of the term: we don’t just reuse the original material, but we transform it, giving it a new and greater value. This is how we turn aluminum waste into a material with the same mechanical performance and workability as the original, but with lower CO2 emissions throughout the product’s lifecycle.
From research to reality
The recycled aluminum calipers are the result of over five years of research and development at Brembo, involving a dedicated team of more than 30 engineers, designers, and technicians. Together, they redesigned the production process to make recycled aluminum highly performant, on par with primary aluminum.
From electric vehicles to premium high-performance models, these calipers prove that responsibility and performance can coexist, without compromise.
The calipers are made of AlSi10 aluminium alloy with up to 100% recycled aluminium content. Depending on specific procurement requirements, a limited amount of primary aluminium may be used.
