2,000 join Ostrava Family Day

 ​Saturday, September 3, more than 2,000 people took advantage of the beautiful weather to join in the third 'Open Day' set up by Brembo Czech at the Ostrava integrated plant.



600 employees and family members also visited the production departments (maximum capacity), while 300 children played, ran around and drew pictures all afternoon.

The event was an opportunity for everyone to spend a pleasant day with the big Brembo family in Ostrava, one that has grown significantly over the first 5 years of the plant's activity.​

 
 
 





Under the direction of Country General Manager Simone Memeo, the staff organized an event for both adults and children, installing a professional F1 simulator, inflatable castles for the little ones, personalized booths where products made for each customer were on display, and much more.

Participants especially enjoyed the international cuisine and soft drinks. Of course, musical and theatrical performances provided entertainment as well. ​

 

In light of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and paying special attention to the social needs of the area of operation, Brembo Czech asked Mental Café, a local entity working in mental health care, to get involved in Family Day by dispensing coffee made by its patients.

And just a few weeks before Family Day, plant employees were involved in another event. On June 25, more than 150 people participated in Brembo Cup 2016, the second edition of a sporting event based on various disciplines: five-a-side soccer, beach volleyball, badminton, bowls and kickball.
