In 2015, the governments of the 193 member states of the UN undersigned the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, a plan of action consisting of 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), from ending poverty in all forms to improving health and education and the promotion of an environmentally sustainable economy.
Sustainability has always been an integral part of the DNA of Brembo, a company which, acutely aware of its responsibility as a global innovator, has chosen to commit to the 2030 Agenda.
Brembo believes that the active and effective involvement of each individual in its organization is crucial in attaining the goals in full. It has therefore chosen to actively engage its workforce in this endeavor, in the conviction, put into words by Cristina Bombassei, that: “The actions of each one of us have an impact, but if we multiply this by the over 10 thousand employees in the Brembo group, and then again by each of their families, the cumulative effect will be truly amplified and decisive".
The initiatives to raise awareness among and train the entire global Brembo workforce started with the distribution of the 2019 coffee table calendar, which encourages an initial reflection on the significance of the 17 SDGs. The communication campaign continues with the detailed presentation of the 17 Goals, so that everyone may become Ambassador of the Sustainable Development program, in both his life within the company and his private lives outside the company.
