LANSING, Mich., June 17, 2008 -- Governor Jennifer M. Granholm and Brembo today announced that the company will consolidate its corporate and technical groups from Northville, Farmington Hills and Costa Mesa, Calif. at a new headquarters to be built in Novi. The subsidiary of Bergamo, Italy-based Brembo S.p.A. will also expand capacity at its manufacturing facility in Homer (Calhoun County). The combined project is expected to retain and create 325 jobs directly by the company for a total of 1,049 Michigan jobs retained and created.

Dominant at 24 Hours of Le Mans
As anticipated, Brembo-equipped teams continued to be a force winning two classes including overall for the eighth time in the past nine years. The top six diesel-powered prototypes were dominant at the 76th running of the 24 Hours of Le Mans this past weekend. As usual, the weather was a major factor at the classic Circuit de la Sarthe as the rains came with a vengeance this year.

Brembo supply the complete braking system for the company’s flagship “Touring” family.
The entire braking system, consisting of front and rear callipers with 4 pistons, front and rear master cylinder and three 300 mm front and rear discs, will be supplied by Brembo in place of the previous American supplier.
