Brembo’s core values are set out in the various Codes of the Group and they are in place for all the Group’s members, regardless their hierarchical position, their function as well as the country in which they work
Brembo considers that transparent, ethical and compliant conduct is essential for the company’s activities to be managed correctly. This means not only observing the numerous current laws and regulations, but also considering the expectations and aspirations of the various stakeholders.
In order to ensure a high ethical standard at group level, Brembo has adopted Governance and compliance tools based on the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the
ILO’s Tripartite Declaration on the Principles Concerning Multinational Enterprises and Social Policy, as well as the
OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises. The Code of Ethics is the mainstay of this system, but the Code must be read and interpreted together with the documents considered essential for the development and dissemination of the Group’s core values. These include the Anti-bribery Code of Conduct, the Code of Basic Working Conditions, the Policy on non discrimination and diversity and other codes of conduct, policies, procedures, guidelines and organisational provisions existing today.
The Group has implemented the Whistleblowing procedure to assure that the compliance culture is disseminated and the developed rules of conduct are implemented effectively. It is designed to establish and properly manage direct communication channels for the reporting of any breaches or irregularities concerning the provisions of Brembo’s codes of conduct, guaranteeing the confidentiality and the anonymity of the reporting person. Finally, to promote awareness and adherence to Brembo’s principles and policies, the company has also implemented learning schemes involving all group personnel.
