Brembo’s core values are set out in the various Codes of the Group and they are in place for all the Group’s members, regardless their hierarchical position, their function as well as the country in which they work
Brembo considers that transparent, ethical and compliant conduct is essential for the company’s activities to be managed correctly. This means not only observing the numerous current laws and regulations, but also considering the expectations and aspirations of the various stakeholders.
In order to ensure a high ethical standard at group level, Brembo has adopted Governance and compliance tools based on the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the
ILO’s Tripartite Declaration on the Principles Concerning Multinational Enterprises and Social Policy, as well as the
OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises. The Code of Ethics is the mainstay of this system, but the Code must be read and interpreted together with the documents considered essential for the development and dissemination of the Group’s core values. These include the Anti-bribery Code of Conduct, the Code of Basic Working Conditions, the Policy on non discrimination and diversity and other codes of conduct, policies, procedures, guidelines and organisational provisions existing today.
So as to ensure their diffusion and implementation, in 2016 the Group has handed out copies of the Code of Ethics to all its employees and, at the same time, promoted an awareness campaign. In addition, Brembo has created training programmes addressed to all its employees focused on compliance themes, on Code of Ethics, Legislative Decree 231/01 and Anti-bribery Code of Conduct.
The Group has implemented the Whistleblowing procedure to assure that any direct communication concerning breaches or irregularities to Brembo’s Codes are reported and properly managed. The Group’s whistleblowing procedure is structured in such a way as to guarantee the confidentiality of the reporting person and of the information received, as well as the validity of such information.
