Maximum performance in terms of braking power and braking control

Braking systems destined for hypersports bikes must deliver maximum performance in terms of braking power and control at all times. Brembo fully satisfies these requisites, transferring its extensive experience gained in motorsports to production hypersports bikes with a range of ultra-stiff braking systems consisting of radial master cylinders, radial mount calipers and floating discs.

Radial master cylinders ensure superior controllability - in other terms a linear response to the input of the rider - while floating discs (available in diameters up to 330 mm) are more resistant to high temperatures, as the steel brake rotor is capable of expanding under thermal stress.

Completing the system are Brembo radial mount calipers in cast aluminium with a triple bridge configuration for enhanced stiffness. For models at the extreme end of the performance scale, monobloc technology further optimises the ratio between weight and stiffness.

For record-breaking performance, the weight of a hypersports machine must be minimized.

Brembo also focuses on this important aspect, researching into the use of ever lighter materials, developing manufacturing processes for these materials and optimising the dimensions of every single component.

Some of the sport bikes equipped with Brembo brakes:

Ducati 1299 Panigale

Superbike emotions even when braking

Borgo Panigale accepts no compromises: and with the Ducati 1299 Panigale, technical excellence is absolute. Yet bringing 205 HP and a torque of 145 Nm to a halt needs the best brakes available. Brembo supplies 4-piston radial mount evo calipers which ensure maximum rigidity and deformation strength during extreme braking. They work with 2 semi-floating 330 mm discs with radial brake pump. At the rear, on the other hand, there is a 245 mm disc with a Brembo 2-piston caliper. The S version also boasts Marchesini forged aluminium 3 spoke Y-shaped rims.

Honda CBR 1000 RR SP

Braking always up to expectations

When dealing with a Sport Production, even the brake system must be calibrated to the same, very high level. To ensure that fortunate owners of the Honda CBR 1000 RR SP can rely on braking of equal calibre, Brembo has developed specific and extremely stiff 4-piston calipers. Cylinders vary from 30 to 32 mm to ensure effective braking and uniform brake pad wear.

Kawasaki Ninja H2

Turbo brakes

Braking a turbo-charged 310 HP engine seemed to be a very unlikely feat. But not for Brembo! We designed truly powerful, cutting-edge system for the Kawasaki Ninja H2 (as well as the Ninja H2R). Astonishing braking performance in very tight spaces is ensured by the seamless integration of the radial brake pump and the 4-piston pillar calipers and 330 mm discs.

Suzuki GSX-R1000

24 carat calipers

A big engine alone is not enough for supersports. Suzuki is well aware of this and for the GSX R 1000 once again looked for the best as regards the brake system. The Brembo gilt pillar caliper mounted on this bike is ideal for ensuring all the power drivers need for every occasion. The caliper has 4 x 32 mm diameter pistons and, thanks to superb workmanship, is light and compact yet at the same time extremely stiffness.

Triumph Daytona 675 R abs

British charm, Italian braking!

British charm and top performance.
To achieve all this, the Triumph Daytona 675 R Abs uses Brembo front brake pillar calipers and a radial front brake pump.
Together with the Brembo 310 mm front discs and Brembo rear caliper, they offer the best in sharp on-road braking as well as for racing.
