Naked

The very origins of naked bikes make them multi-purpose machines by definition. They may be used for anything from daily commuting and mid range touring, to spirited riding on twisty mountain roads and extreme track day use.

Braking systems for large capacity nakeds must therefore combine performance, comfort and adequate pad durability. Many models use braking systems derived from the hypersports bikes on which they are based. Precise controllability is also a fundamental prerequisite for the braking systems of a bike in this segment.
Brembo has transferred the same content used for hypersports bikes to the naked segment, to equip mid to large capacity machines with braking systems consisting of 4-piston fixed calipers, radial master pumps and floating discs.

Radial master pumps ensure superlative brake force control, delivering a linear response to rider input, whereas floating discs, with their superior capability to expand under thermal stress, offer greater resistance to high temperatures. For certain specific models, where high-tech content is a key design feature, Brembo has developed radial master cylinders with dedicated separate reservoirs, while Brembo offers axial master cylinders with separate reservoirs for medium capacity bikes.
