With a view to offering more and more customers the benefit of a ready-to-fit brake kit for competition cars, and making the entire process of design and development less costly for privateer teams, Brembo has introduced a new range of race-ready kits under the name “Pro-Series Cast”.
The caliper, cast in two pieces joined together with 4 high strength bolts, is also adaptable to a wide range of discs. The caliper body is hard-anodized for improved resistance to stresses — in particular the thermal and mechanical stresses typical of competition motorsport.
The aluminium pistons are of mixed diameter (40/44mm) and designed to accept anti-knock-off springs; in addition, steel sinks are associated with the pistons to isolate the caliper from the heat generated during operation.
The new kits, which include calipers, hub adapter brackets and full floating discs with aluminium hat (racing specification), are available for the most widely raced GT cars and can be purchased through the Brembo official dealer network.
