The 15th round of the 2011 MotoGP season will be held in Japan on Sunday

The 15th round of the 2011 MotoGP season will be held in Japan on Sunday, the 2nd of October, on the Motegi track. The Japanese track has a few fast turns and a lot of slow ones, with medium length straight stretches in between. The perfect track surface provides excellent grip without being particularly abrasive. The high number of second gear turns is intensely demanding on the brakes. According to Brembo engineers the main braking section on the Motegi track is the seventh, when the bikes brake from 275 km/h to 85 km/h in 4.8 seconds over a distance of just 254 metres.

From the Friday before each race (4:00 PM) the circuit details can be consulted with all of the technical data on the main braking prepared by Brembo engineers.
