The Truck Sport Lutz Bernau Team won the constructure title in the FIA European Truck Racing Championship 2011, the prestigious championship for heavy vehicles which is held on the most famous tracks in Europe and is dedicated to 5.5 ton trucks which have been specially enhanced, capable of reaching 160 km/h in 6 seconds. The Truck Sport Lutz Bernau team won the championship thanks to the contribution of two drivers, Antonio Albacete and Uwe Nittel (who came in second and seventh respectively in the overall rankings) and to the excellent performance of their 2 MAN vehicles equipped with Brembo discs. During the championship, Brembo’s many years of experience in developing high performance systems for racing was put to the test in an extreme context. In order to win with a vehicle equipped with a 1,200 HP engine and which can reach speeds over 200 km/h (self-limited in races to 160 km/h), excellent brake discs are needed, capable of fully meeting the technical and safety requirements of the strongest team in Europe in the Truck Racing segment.
