Brembo Clinched Two Major Motorsports Championship Series This Past Weekend!
Already 2007 champions of MotoGP and AMA Pro Superbike, as well as the 2007 Rolex Grand-Am GT series, Brembo added four major motorsports championships to its honor role this past weekend. |
On Saturday at Laguna Seca, Dindo Capello and Alan McNish drove their Audi R-10 to an overall victory in the ALMS season finale and the LMP1 Prototype Drivers’ and Manufacturers’ Championship. This was Audi’s (and Brembo’s) eighth-straight ALMS LMP1 Championship.
Although Ferrari (and Brembo) had already won the 2007 Formula One Manufacturers’ Championship because of McLaren’s disqualification, the season finale in Brazil proved to be exciting as Ferrari’s Kimi Raikkonen entered the race in third place, won the finale and defeated McLaren’s Alonso and Hamilton by a single point for the 2007 F1 Drivers’ Championship! Congratulations to all of the Brembo Champions.
Coming Attractions: The MotoGP season finale in Valencia, Spain, while the Nextel Cup moves to Atlanta with only four races left in the Chase.
