Brembo to supply O.E. for Harley-Davidson
Touring Platform
• The new supply equips about 35% of Harley-Davidson
output (2006 data)
• Supply agreement worth between 30 and 40 million
euros yearly.
Brembo has joined Harley-Davidson to supply braking systems for Harley-Davidson’s Touring Platform. Brembo has been supplying braking systems for the VRSC platform over the past 3 years and has now added the Touring platform which accounts for some 35% of the entire H-D output.
With this new agreement, Brembo becomes the braking systems OEM supplier for over 40% of Harley-Davidson motorbikes, around 350,000 per year (2006 Harley-Davidson brand data).
Brembo will supply:
• front and rear brake callipers;
• front and rear master cylinders;
• front and rear brake discs for FL models.
Paolo Magri, Director of Brembo’s Moto Business Unit, comments on this important development:
“This achievement is a credit to the entire Brembo team, given their efforts over the past two years to meet the customer’s requirements. And it is even more of a success, when considering how significantly the volume of motorcycle braking systems made by Brembo will be increased by the new deal.”
