BREMBO PROVIDES STOPPING POWER FOR ALPINE'S LATEST CREATION: THE IMPRINT RLS
First Brembo Gt Kit for Mercedes-Benz R Class in North America

COSTA MESA, Calif., Jan. 29, 2007 – Brembo has once again teamed with Alpine Electronics and outfitted their new show-stopping show car the IMPRINT RLS with the first Brembo GT kit for a Mercedes-Benz R Class in North America.

The IMPRINT RLS made its official debut at the 2007 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas. The project started as a Mercedes-Benz R500 and was transformed into a show-stopping, one-of-a-kind vehicle. With the goal to showcase the latest IMPRINT sound technology in a sleek and sophisticated manner, the Alpine design team completely re-designed the R500 by altering the entire body of the vehicle.

Using only the original roof, the front, rear, and sides were hand crafted to give the vehicle an elegant and flowing body with an exceptional paint job. To complete the look the RLS was outfitted with custom TIS Wheels, Pirelli tires, and the massive stopping power of Brembo brakes.

Alpine Electronics is a technical partner with Brembo North America and the two companies have teamed up of a variety of cuttingedge project vehicles including Alpine's award winning show cars ranging from a BMW 6 series named the “Sinister Six”, a Mini Cooper S named the “Mini Speedster”, and a BMW X5 named the “Ultimate Listening Vehicle” or ULM.
