
BERGAMO, Italy, Feb. 14, 2008 -- Brembo prepares to start the 2008 FIA Formula One World Championship season with the consolidated role of official supplier of brake systems for some of the best Formula One teams, which for many years have been relying on the Italian company to optimize the braking performances of their race cars.
This season, Brembo, which entered into Formula One in 1975, will also support the teams in terms of highly technological innovation, performance and safety, providing calipers, pumps, discs and carbon friction systems. All the components provided by Brembo aredesigned and continually improved in cooperation with each team.
For the 2008 Formula One season, Brembo will supply the following teams:

- Force India Team
- Honda Racing F1 Team
- Panasonic Toyota Racing
- Red Bull Racing
- Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro
- Scuderia Toro Rosso

At DealerExpo, Brembo also displayed a new rear caliper and bracket kit that is interchangeable with the majority of OE assemblies fitted to Japanese (Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki and Yamaha) and European (Aprilia, Ducati, Guzzi, KTM and Moto Morini) sport bike models. Machined entirely from billet, the caliper body is the outcome of exhaustive FEM calculations that optimize weight and stiffness and comes complete with sintered pads, currently the top option available on the market.
As a global supplier, Brembo manufactures over 32 million brake rotors a year for more than 30 different OEMs, including Aston Martin, Audi, BMW, Chrysler, Daimler, General Motors, Ford, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Maserati, Mercedes and Porsche. 2007 market consensus sales are 896 million Euros ($1.228 billion).
