PEUGEOT WINS 24 HOURS OF LE MANS EQUIPPED WITH BREMBO CARBON BRAKE SYSTEM

 

For Brembo, this was the ninth overall crown in ten years, along with numerous class victories.  Brembo supplied over two thirds of the 55-car field for Le Mans this year, including all 12 of the Aston Martins, Audis and Peugeots competing.

 

Whether four-wheel or two, open-wheel, prototype or GT, since Brembo began racing with Ferrari in 1975, the Italian manufacturer of high-performance braking systems has won many world championships at more great venues like Le Mans, Daytona, Sebring, Monaco and Baja.

15th June 2009 - An amazing performance for Valentino Rossi, who takes a 0.095 seconds margin victory in Spain. See standings.

The Catalunya Gran Prix, characterized by temperatures of 40°C, has been one of the most exciting races of the championship, with a long head-to-head battle between Rossi and Lorenzo ended on the last corner. Third place for an exhausted Casey Stoner, while Loris Capirossi overtakes Dani Pedrosa and gets the fourth position. All winners are Brembo-equipped.

Stezzano / Wiesbaden, May 28, 2009. Brembo S.p.A. – a world leader in high performance brake systems – and SGL Group – The Carbon Company – announced today the contract closing of a joint venture, in the area of carbon ceramic brake discs, with each parent company owning a 50% share in the new entity.

The objective of the joint venture is to further develop carbon ceramic brake systems as well as to produce and market carbon ceramic brake discs, exclusively for the passenger car and commercial vehicle markets.
