BREMBO BRINGS “OUT OF THE BOX” THINKING TO NASCAR!

Light-Weight, High-Stiffness Top Mounting Pedal Box Now Available

ORLANDO, Fl., Dec. 14, 2006 – Historically, Brembo has had a strong presence in sport car racing dating back to the 1975 season when Ferrari chose Brembo brakes for its Formula 1 cars. Since then, some of the biggest names in racing—Aston Martin, Corvette, Maserati, Porsche, among others—have included Brembo brakes in the specifications for their raceand championship-winning race cars.

Diversity is also a Brembo strong-suit. Numerous open-wheel racing teams in Champ Car and IRL choose Brembo. As do many teams involved in stock car racing. Both the current NASCAR Nextel Cup-and Busch Series-winning Chevrolets of Jimmy Johnson and Kevin Harvick feature Brembo brakes at all four corners. As does Frank Kimmel’s ARCA RE/MAX Series-winning Ford.

But brake systems consist of more than calipers, rotors and pads and for the 2007 racing season Brembo is introducing a NASCAR pedal box. The Brembo pedal box is a lightweight, high-stiffness top mounting design that is interchangeable with most common NASCAR pedal boxes. It includes brake and clutch pedals and features FEM (Finite Element Method) analyzed aluminium alloy modular frames machined from billet, a fabricated steel brake pedal and an aluminium clutch pedal machined from billet.
