Formula SAE is a competition between engineering departments from all over the world for the realization of small Formula-style race cars. Its regulation leaves a wide choice of technical solutions, except few limitations in terms of safety, size and cost. The event aims at developing innovative design and production techniques through an active participation of universities and students.

Within this contest Brembo supplies a series of products showed in the components catalogue. This catalogue's goal is to give Formula SAE teams a basic idea of Brembo proposal for the brake system of a single seat low weight car. Teams normally use master cylinders from the car catalogue and calipers from the motorcycle catalogue: the result is a significant weight-saver solution.

If the suggested brake system does not satisfy the requests, other Brembo racing components can be found in the car catalogue and motorcycle catalogue.

Brembo does not study any special system for teams on request, as this would be against the competition's aim, a design contest between universities.

Brembo's catalogue products, shown in the components section, can be bought from your local Brembo distributor. Along with a part number Brembo provides a list of some product characteristics and a link to the drawings with dimensions needed for designing related parts.
